About Us

Leo and The Farm

     In 2021, our lives were changed forever through the pregnancy and loss of our first son.
     In early 2021, we were living in Nebraska and learned we were expecting a second child.  We had plans of growing a large family together.
     We learned our baby was a boy, and we received some additional information that we were blindsided by;
our son was diagnosed in utero with Trisomy 18; a genetic disorder that is rarely compatible with life. We decided to name him Leo.  He would be our little lion, tiny but mighty.
     Not long after finding this out, the possibility of a job out-of-state put a very big choice in front of us. We visited the area and considered the move. We decided to wait a little longer before making a decision, not knowing what to expect for our family.
     In the 8th month of our pregnancy, Leo’s heart stopped beating.  He was stillborn.
     We felt as though we had been grieving through the entire pregnancy.  However, nothing prepares you for the loss of a child.
     After an extremely short couple of months, the relocation was considered again.  We returned to the area and looked at several properties.  Then, we visited what would become our future home – a neglected farm property just outside of a small town.  17 acres of possibility in South Dakota.  Our offer was accepted and shortly after, we moved.
     We knew immediately our farm and future business would be dedicated to our Leo – an unending reminder of who he was and a way to keep his story and memory alive for all who meet us.

     One day, our property will have a night-lighted orchard; a

Little Enchanted Orchard

A dreamy little place, especially dedicated to our LEO.
