Fudge Brownies

These brownies are for the gooey brownie lovers - they are soft, rich and fudgy.

Equipment

  • 1 Glass Brownie Baking Dish An 8 x 8 or 7 x 9 works well for this recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 TBS olive oil
  • 1 + ⅛ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp fine sea salt
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions
 

  • Set oven to preheat at 350℉.
  • Grease your brownie dish .
  • Whisk together melted butter, olive oil, and sugar.
  • Add in the vanilla extract and eggs and whisk a minute or two until combined and fluffy.
  • At this point, you'll want to switch from a whisk to a spatula or spoon. Mix into the egg mixture the remaining ingredients (flour, salt, and cocoa powder) until the mixture is evenly combined - it will be very thick.
  • Spread the mixture into your baking dish. Bake at 350℉ for 25 minutes. The center should feel set enough that it doesn't jiggle.
  • ALLOW TO COOK COMPLETELY BEFORE CUTTING!
  • (Optional - Dust with powdered sugar before serving). Store leftovers in a sealed container.
